The pontiff canonized Italian Capuchin priest  Angelo of Acri, Spanish priest Faustino Miguez, the Child Martyrs of Tlaxcala, (Mexico) Cristobal, Antonio and Juan, and the Martyrs of Natal, Jesuit priest Andre de Soveral, diocesan priest Ambrosio Francisco Ferro, layman Mateus Moreira and 27 others, killed in 1645 in an anti-Catholic persecution carried out by Dutch Calvinists in Natal, Brazil. <br />
